Payment Information

The on-line ordering process wil default to using Paypal (or credit card) and US Dollars at check out but one can "pay later" by just closing the Paypal window. This will then just generate an email request to IAGC and will then give you the flexibility to enjoy IAGC membership discount rates if you are eligible but have not yet registered on the site.

The system will only recognise you as an IAGC member and apply the discounted member rates if you are logged in.

IAGC prefers to take a single payment once courier/postage charges are available, and so if you "pay later" (see above), credit card or bank details will then be requested once all costs are known.

Prices shown therefore in the shopping cart exclude costs of postage and packaging, and if a PayPal / credit card payment has already been made on-line, then a second invoice will be raised (pounds Sterling if despatched from UK), to cover any courier/postage costs. There may also be some local tax applied for recipients in Texas, USA.

Marine Environment

There are growing international concerns over the effects of E&P sounds on marine life, particularly sounds from seismic surveys. And while cetaceans, fish and sea turtles get the most attention, concerns extend much more widely. In response, governments are increasingly requiring measures to mitigate potential harm to marine life. These measures can significantly affect our industrys operations and their cost, and they increasingly restrict the E&P industry’s ability to access areas for oil and gas exploration and production. Together with the E&P industry, IAGC continues to be engaged in the public policy discussions on this issue. And along with a limited number of visionary E&P companies, we continue to invest in and provide technical support for and oversight of scientific research that is filling the gaps in knowledge and eliminating uncertainty about the possible effects of E&P sound on marine life. This effort is made possible by the continuing support and participation of...

Effective Meetings

Why effective meetings are important; IAGC has a critical role to fulfill on behalf of Geophysical Contractor Industry IAGC is a group of competitors pooling their resources to address common issues for collective benefit We facilitate the constructive participations of members to achieve common objectives This facilitation often comes by providing structure and context for member participation in value added areas Business is conducted in committees, which meet to organize themselves, set and reach goals, identify problems, set priorities, develop action plans, make decisions, share information, etc. We have limited staff/resources – IAGC is its members Member participation and involvement is the key element in IAGC’s successfully benefiting its members Ineffective/inefficient meetings waste member’s time One of the criticisms of IAGC is that we don’t have effective/efficient meetings – so people stop have stopped coming. To address this, we are providing...

Model Contracts

IAGC publications have been divided into five main catagories:

Environmental Impacts from Goephysical Operations

Educational

Safety

Contracts / Commercial

Energy Sources

Some of the electronic HSE file material (e.g. Edition 9 of the Land and Marine Safety Manuals) is now available for free download in Adobe pdf file format. Other manuals are for sale and they may be ordered from IAGCs Houston or Sevenoaks offices by following the screen prompts. There is no facility at present to make an on-line payment, but credit card (4% surcharge) details may be entered onto the screen order form which will be emailed to the relevant IAGC office (or faxed or telephoned separately). Payment can also of course be made by check or direct bank transfer.

If in electronic format, research material is available for free download. However many of the reports which may run into several hundred pages are still only in paper format and therefore need to be photocopied and so a nominal charge will be made to cover this and the postage costs.

A file index for each of these categories is available by selecting the appropriate option above.
