Current IAGC Members Membership Classes: IAGC membership has two classes of active membership: core members and supporting members, which are defined below. Certain individuals may also be granted honorary membership status. CORE: Geophysical companies who are members in good standing at the formula dues level for core members, who are not owned by a government or an oil and gas exploration and production company (E & P company), and whose primary business is one or more of the following: Geophysical data acquisition contractor; Geophysical data processing contractor; or Owner and supplier of multi-client geophysical data for license. IAGC prefers to take a single payment once courier/postage charges are available, and so if you "pay later" (see above), credit card or bank details will then be requested once all costs are known.

There are growing international concerns over the effects of E&P sounds on marine life, particularly sounds from seismic surveys. And while cetaceans, fish and sea turtles get the most attention, concerns extend much more widely. In response, governments are increasingly requiring measures to mitigate potential harm to marine life. These measures can significantly affect our industrys operations and their cost, and they increasingly restrict the E&P industry’s ability to access areas for oil and gas exploration and production. Together with the E&P industry, IAGC continues to be engaged in the public policy discussions on this issue. And along with a limited number of visionary E&P companies, we continue to invest in and provide technical support for and oversight of scientific research that is filling the gaps in knowledge and eliminating uncertainty about the possible effects of E&P sound on marine life. Some of the electronic HSE file material (e.g. Edition 9 of the Land and Marine Safety Manuals) is now available for free download in Adobe pdf file format. Other manuals are for sale and they may be ordered from IAGCs Houston or Sevenoaks offices by following the screen prompts. There is no facility at present to make an on-line payment, but credit card (4% surcharge) details may be entered onto the screen order form which will be emailed to the relevant IAGC office (or faxed or telephoned separately). Payment can also of course be made by check or direct bank transfer.

If in electronic format, research material is available for free download. However many of the reports which may run into several hundred pages are still only in paper format and therefore need to be photocopied and so a nominal charge will be made to cover this and the postage costs.
